1. Who we are and what this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how CuteSnaps ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our photobooth app, the CuteSnaps Manager app, the web dashboard, photo download and gallery pages, and our website (the "Services").
We follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). For privacy questions or requests, email support@cutesnap.app.
2. Our role
- For Clients and their Staff: we decide how your account information is used, so we are the personal information controller for it.
- For Guests photographed at a Booth: the Client running the Booth decides to take, print, share and store the photos at its event. The Client is the personal information controller for Guest photos and details, and CuteSnaps processes them on the Client's behalf as a personal information processor, following the Client's settings.
3. Information we collect
| Who | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Clients, Staff and Operators | Name, business name, email address, phone number, password (stored only in hashed form), two-factor settings, operator PINs (hashed), sign-in sessions, IP addresses, the actions taken in the account (activity log), bookings and the customer details you enter for them, and support messages. |
| Guests | Photos, photo strips, animated GIFs and boomerang videos taken at the Booth; the email address a Guest types to receive a photo or a voucher; payment references and amounts for Booth sales (not full card numbers); and the AI style chosen, if any. |
| Booth and app devices | Device identifiers, device model, Android version, app version, license key, booth status (online, paper, printer), and error logs used to fix problems. |
| Purchases from CuteSnaps | What you bought, amount, date, payment method, payment reference and status from our payment partners. QR payment screenshots you upload for review. |
| Website visitors | Basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) and the light/dark theme you pick, stored in your own browser. |
Face detection, gesture detection and background removal run on the Booth device itself. They do not create or store face templates, and they do not identify anyone.
4. How we use information
- To provide the Services: run Booths, print and store photos, create download links and galleries, email photos and vouchers, and process payments.
- To manage accounts, licenses, packages, billing and support tickets.
- To keep the Services secure: sign-in protection, rate limits, fraud prevention and audit logs.
- To fix bugs and improve reliability, using device logs and error reports.
- To send service messages, such as password resets, purchase confirmations and important changes. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use Guest photos for advertising or to train AI models.
5. Legal basis
We process personal information because it is needed to perform our contract with Clients, for our legitimate interests in running and securing the Services, to comply with the law, and, where required, with consent. For Guest photos, the Client is responsible for informing Guests and having a lawful basis at its event.
7. Transfers outside the Philippines
Some of our providers, such as cloud storage, email and AI providers, store or process information outside the Philippines. When this happens, we take reasonable steps so that the information stays protected as required by the Data Privacy Act.
8. How long we keep information
- Guest photos, GIFs and videos are kept according to the Client's settings, until the Client deletes them, or until the Client's account is closed. Download links and galleries may stop working after a set number of days.
- Guest email addresses entered at a Booth are kept with the related photo or voucher record.
- Client account information is kept while the account is active. After closure we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except what we must keep by law.
- Payment and billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Security and activity logs are kept for as long as needed to protect the Services and investigate problems.
9. How we protect information
We use organizational, physical and technical measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and PINs, optional two-factor authentication, access limited to people who need it, unguessable download links, rate limits and activity logs. No system is perfectly secure; if a personal data breach happens that requires notice, we will notify the NPC and affected people as the law requires.
10. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access, to object, to correct, to erasure or blocking, to data portability, to be indemnified for damages, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
To use these rights, email support@cutesnap.app. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within a reasonable time.
11. For Guests: your photos
If you were photographed at a CuteSnaps photobooth and want a photo, GIF or video removed, contact the photobooth business that ran the Booth at your event, or email us at support@cutesnap.app with the download link or QR code from your print and the date of the event. We will work with the Client to handle your request.
12. Children
Client accounts are for adults only. Guests under 18 may appear in Booth photos at family events; the Client is responsible for getting a parent's or guardian's permission where required. If you believe a child's information should be removed, contact us.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and tell Clients about important changes by email or in the dashboard.
